Technology leads to a high point of intelligence and a new future

"Black Mirror” is one of the world's best-known anti-utopian sci-fi dramas, and every season since it aired in 2011 has borrowed the side effects of technology to explore the dark side of humanity and the stubborn ills of human society.

The whole show is thought-provoking, even a little dark, but it's a quirky, bizarre, bold, direct and ironic interpretation of the way technology has turned our lives upside down. Over the past 10 years, new technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, biotechnology, and other familiar terms have been barging into the public eye. How to make technology better serve humanity has become a topic of discussion in the political and business community.

At this time, China has just experienced a trade war with the United States and suffered COVID-19, in the double factor under the superimposed to stimulate innovation endogenous power, the more in adversity, the more need to focus on cultivating and growing new dynamic energy. This is a fast-forward for "new infrastructure" including 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, etc. In recent years, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent and other domestic technology companies have invested in data center software and hardware, big data platform research and development and other areas to promote intelligent transportation and smart cities to the ground, becoming the country's leading force in this round of "new infrastructure" torrent.

Recently, the expert of future cities industry, Mr. Zhang Weijun and his teams from cloud business development department of the Internet giant Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co. (hereinafter referred to as "Tencent") visited Yuhong Group, disscussed with Mr. Dong Zengmin, the Chairman and President of Yuhong Group on "New Infrastructure + Smart City" to break the traditional development model and build a new blueprint for the "City of the Future" together.

According to Mr. Zhang Weijun, Tencent's smart city projects are currently spread across more than 50 cities in the country, and their industries involve medical care, health, travel, tourism and other aspects. Faced with the iterative change of the industrial Internet era, smart cities involve different subdivided scenarios and escalating demand for capacity, smart cities are not feasible to fight alone. Thus, Tencent is breaking through the traditional view of "giant systems", avoiding the problems of "emphasis on main control and ecology, technology and application, and construction and operation", and building a "micro-ecological" city with digital technology as its gene, so as to achieve an interactive upgrade from "local intelligence" to "overall intelligence". Tencent's digitalization process in the post-urbanization era requires not only relying on technology, but also working with companies with rich resources and project experience to deeply explore urban resources and provide more cities with customized solutions for urban management, resource utilization, medical and health care, epidemic prevention and disaster prevention, public safety, and so on, to build every city into a technology-supported, citizen-centric "city of the future".

We firmly believe that the emerging science and technology industry will become the pillar industry of China, and that science and technology will lead the future economy "after the wave" is unstoppable, so Yuhong has seized the opportunity to reform with a number of domestic state-owned enterprises, famous listed companies to reach strategic cooperation, to participate in a number of smart city projects, so that the "new infrastructure + urban integration" model in more cities, integrated urban innovation, integration of industrial development, integration of people's livelihood, for which we hope to touch the future with more high-tech enterprises to build people-oriented "future city" new ecology.

So the "city of the future" can be a collision of minds in “Black Mirror”, but it will never be the future presented in “Black Mirror”. Technology is more like a vaccine against urban diseases, which will awaken the unique and exuberant vitality of each city.
